How to Enable Fire Alarm Verification
Table of Contents
Want extra confidence that your fire alarm alerts are accurate? Fire Alarm Verification helps reduce false alarms by requiring confirmation before an alert is sent.
When enabled, your smoke detector will only trigger an alarm if:
- It is activated twice within two minutes, or
- It stays triggered for at least 30 seconds
This setting is off by default, but you can turn it on in just a few quick steps.
How to Turn On Fire Alarm Verification
- Tap "Settings" (top right of your panel)
- Enter your 4-digit Master Code
- Select "Sensors"
- Tap "Smoke"
- Choose "Smoke/Heat/Freeze"
- Select "Edit"
- Toggle “Fire Alarm Verification” to "On"
