Sometimes, sensors are placed before the panel is powered on or before instructions are fully available—mistakes happen! If you've accidentally installed a door sensor on a window or a window sensor on a door, we’ve made the fix simple.

Tip: For the easiest experience, unplug your panel and carry it with you as you go from sensor to sensor.

Step-by-Step: Remove & Re-Add the Sensor

1. Unplug your panel from the wall to carry it around easily
2. Tap “Settings” (top right corner of the touchscreen)
3. Enter your 4-digit Master Code
4. Tap the “Sensors” icon

Walk to the Sensor That’s Misplaced

5. Open the sensor that was installed incorrectly (gently separate the two pieces)
6. On your panel, you’ll see an open sensor highlighted (in red text)
7. Tap the open sensor, then tap the “X” icon to remove it
8. Confirm removal by pressing “Yes”

Re-Add the Sensor Correctly

9. Press the back arrow in the top left corner
10. Select “Doors” or “Windows”—depending on the correct location
11. Tap “Add Sensor” and follow the on-screen instructions
12. Repeat for any other sensors that need to be reassigned

All Done!

Your sensors will now be correctly labeled and function exactly as intended.
