Brick or Stucco - Battery Only
Important:
We do not recommend installing the backplate using 3M adhesive tape on brick or stucco surfaces. Due to their porous nature, these materials make adhesion unreliable and increase the likelihood of the backplate falling off.The instructions below are specifically written for installations that require drilling into brick or stucco.
Step 1: Position the Backplate
Hold the backplate against the area of the wall or frame where you want to mount the camera.
Using a marker, mark the location of the two screw holes, then remove the backplate.
Step 2: Drill the Mounting Holes
Using a 15/64" (6 mm) drill bit, drill holes into the brick or stucco where you made your marks.
Drill deep enough for the provided wall anchors to fit securely.
Insert the anchors into the holes, pressing them in until they sit snugly and flush with the surface.
Step 3: Secure the Backplate
Align the holes on the backplate with the anchors you just installed.
Using the provided screws and a power drill, drive the screws through the backplate holes and into the anchors to secure the backplate firmly to the wall.
Step 4: Attach the Doorbell Camera
Align the bottom of the camera with the bottom of the backplate, ensuring the teeth on the backplate fit into the grooves on the back of the camera.
Press the top of the camera toward the backplate until you hear a click, confirming that it’s securely attached.
Step 5: Verify Installation
Gently tug on the camera to make sure it’s firmly mounted.
If it feels loose, remove it and repeat the alignment and attachment steps until it locks securely in place.

Before starting the installation, turn off the breaker connected to the doorbell circuit. This will safely power down the existing doorbell before removal.
Step 1: Remove the Existing Doorbell
Turn off the breaker that powers the current doorbell.
Once powered down, carefully remove the old doorbell from the wall or frame, exposing the existing wiring.
Step 2: Prepare the Mounting Area
Use sandpaper to smooth out any loose paint chips or rough areas on the wood frame where the new doorbell will be installed.
This ensures a clean, flat surface for mounting.
Step 3: Position the Backplate
Hold the backplate against the section of the frame where you’d like to install the new doorbell.
Decide whether you will be using adhesive or screws to mount the backplate.
- If using screws, skip to Step 5.
