The Secondary Siren sounds an additional audible alarm external to the Hub or Alarm Panel. It can be placed to reach areas of your home where the sirens from the Hub and Alarm Panel cannot be heard.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Secondary Siren 

Will this work as a standalone device?

No. Treat this device as another piece of equipment in your security system’s network. It will only operate if it is wirelessly connected to the Hub.

Can I use more than one siren? 

Yes. We do limit the number of sirens you can have with your system as each one sounds an alarm of up to 85 dB within a 10-foot radius, so depending on the size of the home or residence, one might be sufficient. 

Can it work outdoors? 

No. This siren is not recommended for outdoor use. 

Will the siren chime if a door opens, like on the Alarm Panel?

Yes. If “Global Chime” has been enabled on your Alarm Panel, then the siren will chime when a door is opened.

Will the siren have voice announcements if a door opens, like on the Alarm Panel? 

No. The siren cannot make voice announcements.

Will the siren operate in the event of a power outage? 

The siren comes with a CR123A battery, so it will continue to operate during a power outage or if it’s unplugged.
