Table of Contents
The Doorbell Camera Spacer is designed to help create a secure, flush mount when installing your Doorbell Camera—especially on uneven surfaces like siding, brick, or stucco. Follow the steps below to install the spacer correctly.
Before You Begin
- Make sure the power to your existing doorbell is turned off at the breaker (if hardwired).
- Have the included extra-long mounting screws ready.
- If your Doorbell Camera is battery-powered only, you may skip wiring steps where noted.
- If you intend to install on brick or stucco, use the provided anchor points.
- The spacer can be used on flat or uneven surfaces
- The spacer does not affect camera performance or field of view
- Always use the included longer screws when installing the spacer
Step 1: Remove Your Existing Doorbell
- Remove your current doorbell from the wall by loosening the mounting screws.
- Gently pull the doorbell away from the wall.
- If your doorbell is wired, turn off the power and carefully pull the wires through the opening.
- Do not allow the wires to fall back into the wall.
- If your doorbell is wired, turn off the power and carefully pull the wires through the opening.

Step 2: Feed Wires Through the Spacer
- Position the spacer so that the flat face of the spacer is against the wall.
- Feed the existing doorbell wires through the center opening of the spacer (if applicable).
- Ensure the spacer sits flush against the wall surface.

Step 3: Align the Backplate and Spacer
- Place the Doorbell Camera backplate on top of the spacer.
- Align the screw holes on the backplate with the screw holes on the spacer.
- Make sure the doorbell wires pass through the center opening of the backplate as well (if applicable).
Step 4: Secure the Spacer and Backplate
- If mounting to brick or stucco, using a 15/64" (6 mm) drill bit, carefully drill holes at the spots where the screw openings would be on the brick or stucco.
- We recommend prior to drilling to mark the holes and then drill with the spacer and backplate removed, and then insert the provided anchors in the holes. Re-mount the spacer and backplate once drilling is completed.
- Using the extra-long screws, fasten the backplate to the wall.
- Tighten the screws until the spacer is firmly placed between the wall and the backplate.
- Do not overtighten—ensure everything is secure and level.

Step 5: Connect Wiring and Mount the Doorbell Camera
- If your Doorbell Camera is hardwired:
- Attach the existing doorbell wires to the terminals on the back of the Doorbell Camera.
- Once wired (or if battery-powered only):
- Hook the bottom of the Doorbell Camera onto the backplate.
- Push the top of the Doorbell Camera firmly until it snaps into place.
- You should feel or hear a click when it is fully seated.
